About the event
Join us for a special field trip to Obed Wild & Scenic River, designed in partnership with the National Park Service to create an inclusive, engaging outdoor learning experience for children of all abilities.
Led by Park Rangers, students will visit the Lilly Bluff Overlook and hike a half-mile trail where they’ll take in views of the river and surrounding bluffs while learning about local plants and wildlife. Children will be encouraged to engage their senses through a hands-on scavenger hunt and nature-based discovery.
🧺 After the hike, we’ll enjoy a group picnic—so please pack a lunch. Be sure everyone is dressed in comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for hiking.
🦅 Junior Ranger workbooks will be available for those who wish to participate. Completed books can be taken to the Obed Visitor Center to receive a Junior Ranger badge!
