About the event
We’re thrilled to announce our spring field trip to Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, where students will have the opportunity to explore one of Tennessee’s most beautiful outdoor classrooms: Bandy Creek.
This field trip invites children to discover the wonders of the forest ecosystem through a guided 1-mile nature hike led by National Park Service rangers. As we walk through the woods, students will participate in hands-on, inquiry-based lessons focused on animal habitats, forest health, and the interconnectedness of nature.
This is a great opportunity for children to observe wildlife signs, learn what makes a forest thrive, and connect with nature in a meaningful way.
